A high percentage of students are identified as "struggling readers". Many students enter middle school lacking basic phonics skills. They many times go 'under the radar" and make it through high school as a non-reader. This can cause isolation, behavior issues, drop outs, and many other challenges. Not only is this stressful for the child, it affects the whole family. The earlier you seek help, the better.
